ICL Ladenburg:

ICL Ladenburg continues its successful efforts of focusing on institutions and projects for needy, sick or handicapped children and young people.

• ICL Ladenburg regularly supports a children’s home. On a recent occasion – used bicycles were bought that are repaired in a workshop for mentally handicapped, but well-trained mechanics. Thus two charitable causes are supported simultaneously.
• The company funded children’s sports clubs. We support the children’s teams by buying jerseys or prizes for tournaments, as well as, school events and a playground renovation.
• Educational youth projects – ICL Ladenburg funded a challenging literary project for pupils of a junior high school. Under the guidance of a teacher and an author, a school-class wrote a mystery novel based on the medieval ambiance of Ladenburg.
• A successful recently initiated project was the financial support of the “Literature Days”. The event attracted residents and tourists alike to attend readings in various locations, ranging from historical public plazas to private living-rooms and inns.
• ICL invited the newly elected Mayor of Ladenburg to visit the site. Both sides expressed their intentions to continue the tradition of close contacts and regular exchange of information also in the future.

ICL Ludwigshafen

• The largest charitable donation went to the refurbishment of classrooms, in order to provide easy access to handicapped children.
• An exceptional cultural project focusing on the issue of environmental protection was an “all-around” event including a concert, exhibition, light-shows, discussions, etc. in a waste-fueled power station in Ludwigshafen.
