ICL received the second highest score (A-) among global fertilizer producers from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for our comprehensive report on the company's greenhouse gas balance and climate change strategy. The CDP, a global non-profit organization, cited our high level of disclosure and performance. \
Since 2011, we have annually reported our emissions and efforts regarding climate change to the CDP, an independent non-profit organization dedicated to driving the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The report includes a comprehensive breakdown of our greenhouse gas emissions, reduction targets and initiatives, climate change related risks, opportunities and business strategy, participation in emission trading schemes, external verification and other related topics. See all ICL CDP reports in ‘Sustainability Reports’.
As a result of our comprehensive reporting and efforts, the CDP awarded us the second best possible score, A-, for our 2017 report (which primarily includes our 2016 emissions and data). The 2017 score places us among the top 25% among over 2,000 global reporting companies. Our score was also tied for the second best score among global fertilizers producers, and tied for best score of an Israeli-based company. In 2014, we were also included in the CDP’s CPLI (Carbon Performance Leadership Index) – an exclusive list of global companies that have excelled in emission reduction and climate change mitigation. ICL is the only Israeli-based company to be included in the exclusive CPLI list to date.
